How to Shop With Eco at Home & Terms and Conditions
Register and Login
Prior to shopping online, you may wish to register with us. This will mean that on future visits you simply need to log on with your email address and password. If you register you won't need to re-write your details on the purchase form.
Registering an account also means you can create a gift registry or a list to save for later. You can create a gift registry or a list by simply going to 'My Account' once logged in, and click on 'Gift Registries' or 'Lists'. OR you can create a Registry or a list by simply click 'add to list' or 'Add to Registry' on the product you like (under the 'Add to basket' button). More...
To make shopping with us as convenient and easy as possible, we currently offer the following four options:
1. Shop Online – place and pay for your order online, then we send out your purchases
You can browse through our products using the index on the left, the ‘Brands’ search, or by using the keyword search function.
Select items to purchase by clicking the ‘Add to Basket’ button. You will see a summary of your purchases at the top right of the page (number and total).
At any time you can view the details of your purchases by clicking the ‘Your Order So Far' arrow link at the top right of the page. You can change the quantities on this page, then click 'Update Basket’. Click your browser ‘Back’ button to continue shopping as before or click 'Continue Shopping'
Once you are happy with your selections, select ‘Go To Check Out’.
You will need to log in if you haven't already, register an account or checkout as a guest. You can then confirm or change your shipping address, select the shipping method / zone and then add any comment.
Select how you wish to pay from the drop down box. Continue to the payment gateway where summary of your purchases appears. Complete the payment following the on-screen instructions.
You will receive a confirming email.
2. Browse Online – telephone, fax or email your order, arrange payment, we send out your purchases

3. Browse Online – then visit our retail store, browse some more in person and collect and pay in person

Registering an account also means you can create a gift registry or a list to save for later.
To create a gift registry, simply go to 'My Account' once logged in, and click on 'Gift Registries'.
To create a list, simply click 'add to list' on the productyou like, (under the 'add to Basket' button). You will be prompted to name your list, or to select a list from one of your existing lists - for instance you might have a Wish List, a Shopping List, and a Christmas Shopping List.
To create a registry, simply click the 'Add to Registry' button on the product you like (under the 'Add to Basket' button). You will be prompted to name your registry, or to select a registry from one of your existing registries - for instance you might have a 'Baby
Registry'and a 'House Warming Registry'.
You will then be prompted for an event type, just select from the list.
The next prompt is for a list name, something like 'Baby's Birth' or 'Grandpa's Birthday'.
The next prompt is for your location. This is optional, and serves only to assure your friends that they have the correct registry.
The Date and Description prompt can remind friends of the date and details of the event, eg Wedding Day. It also lets us know when the registy expires.
Next you can nominate a co-registrant. This person will be able to access and modify the list on your behalf. You can nominate whether the co-registrant receives email notifications. You might want to use this, for instance if a friend is managing the list for
your wedding etc.
Notifications options: tick this to receive an email when someone purchases an item from your registry.
Default Shipping Options: You can select 'Pick up in store' so that you save the freight for your purchases, or you can have them sent to your shipping address.
Ship Items: You can select to have each purchase shipped, or to ship them all together.
Shipping Address:if this differs from the address entered previously.
Publishing: make your registry public and searchable, and we suggest that you password protect it (optional).
Tell a Friend: When you are ready, let your frinds know where to find your registry, and be sure to let them know your registry name and password. You can enter multiple email addresses. The email that is sent will include your list, with small images, and a link to enable them to purchase easily. (They will need to log in to make purchase)
Online purchases can be paid for by cheque, credit card or Paypal.
We accept Visa and Mastercard, or Paypal. No record of your card details is kept on our system.
Payment by cheque or bank transfer will of course delay the dispatch of purchases until the payment is cleared. Cheques are to be made out to ‘Eco at Home’. Include your name in the comment section of your bank transfer.
We aim to deliver within 7 days, usually 3 working days. We will advise if there is any delay due to stock shortage. From time to time, some products may be in short supply or may be discontinued, we will advise you as soon as possible.
We use either a courier or Australia Post depending on destination and your requirements. You will generally be required to sign for goods received. If no-one is at home, the delivery service will leave a card explaining how to arrange delivery or pick-up of the parcel. You may find it most convenient to have the purchases delivered to a work or business hours address.
For large (bulky and/or heavy items) or special deliveries, an additional charge may apply. Express delivery can be organized after determining any additional charges.
To contain costs and reduce environmental impact, we re-use packaging materials wherever possible. Recycled or recyclable materials are used where re-useable packaging is unavailable.
Note that all our prices include the Government’s 10% GST
Returns and Refunds
No returns can be accepted without prior agreement and notifying us within 7 days of purchase. Our objective is to have satisfied customers.
If the product is damaged, please advise us immediately.
If the product is faulty or does not perform as it should, we honour manufacturer’s stated guarantees and warrantees.
Note we can only consider returns if the product is in good order and in it’s original packaging and saleable condition, and within 7 days of you purchasing it. You must include a legible copy of your invoice.
We will make return arrangements when you contact us.
Terms of Sale
Eco at Home will dispatch purchases when full payment is received, purchases remain the property of Eco at Home until that time.
We accept no liability arising from the items purchased other than our commitment to accept returns and offer refunds as stated above. Liability for any damages arising as a consequence of using the products as intended rests with the manufacturer. The manufacturer’s warranty and/or guarantee is as stated on the product.
We have put considerable effort into sourcing and selling products that perform and are safe for you and the environment.
However, ultimate responsibility for determining fitness for purpose rests with the purchaser.
We accept no liability for information presented on this site, either directly or indirectly. Information is for general consideration only, as specific circumstances alter context. We have attempted to present accurate and correct information, but reserve the right to amend it as we see fit and do no accept liability or commitment as a consequence of any inaccuracy.
We are committed to the privacy of our customers in the way we collect, use, secure and disclose personal information.
Information we collect
We collect personal information that is necessary for our business to function. The information we collect and hold will depend upon the products and services you request from us and may include:
- Information you provide us when you purchase goods or services. This information will include your name, address and contact details.
- Information derived from communications between us and you.
The use of the facilities and services available through our website will determine the amount and type of information we collect. The only personal information we collect when you use our website is what you tell us about yourself, for example, by completing an online form when you request product information, or when you send us email we will record your mail address.
Use of information
We use the information we collect for the purpose disclosed at the time of collection or otherwise as set out in this Privacy Statement. We will not use your personal information for any other purpose without first seeking your consent, unless authorized or required by law. Generally we will only use and disclose your personal information:
- To establish and maintain your relationship as a customer
- To provide the products and services you have requested
- To administer and manage those products and services
- To answer your inquiry
- For direct marketing by email, specials on products or services you have shown an interest in.
If we contact you in this way without obtaining your prior consent, we will provide you with the opportunity to decline any further marketing communications. If you at any time receive any communication from us which you would not like to receive, please contact us and we will remove your name from our mailing list.
We will take reasonable steps to keep secure any personal information which we hold and to keep this information accurate and up to date. Personal information is stored in a secure server or secure files.
The Internet is not always a secure method of transmitting information. Accordingly, we cannot accept responsibility for the security of information you send to, or receive from us over the Internet or for any unauthorized access or use of that information.
