Preparation The surface must be dry, solid, clean, and free of grease and dust. Pretreat timber with LIVOS oils or stains like ARDVOS Universal Wood Oil No. 266 KUNOS Natural Oil Sealer No. 244 or DARIX Transparent Furniture Stain No. 297.

 

Application Stir or shake product thoroughly before use. Apply very thinly; it is recommended to use a cloth to rub the product in vigorously. Polishing the surface after the treatment is not necessary.With other application methods such as spraying, pay careful attention to applying a very thin and even coat. Excess BIVOS Oil Wax No. 375 should be removed with a cloth. After 20 - 30 minutes of drying time, polish the surface with a brush or a clean cloth. 1 - 2 hours after polishing, the surface can be touched.

Industrial application: via spraying and brush techniques (please request technical advice if necessary).

 

Renovation Extremely dirty, worn-out or otherwise damaged areas are to be cleaned with TRENA pHNeutral Cleaner No. 556 and if necessary, sanded. If needed, oil them again with initial treatment and after that, apply a thin layer of BIVOS Oil Wax No. 375, if necessary, several times.

Technical Data Sheet for BIVOS Oil Wax No. 375

 

Application range For maintaining interior timber that has been previously leached, waxed or oiled. As a final coat for timber previously primed with LIVOS oils and stains. For restoration of old furniture or wood carvings. For the care of KeraCott and linoleum floors.

 

Technical qualities The completely dried wax produces a velvet glossy and moisture resistant surface. DIN EN 71 part 3 certified as suitable for toys.

 

Full declaration Linseed oil, linseed oil- stand oil - natural resin ester, linseed oil — stand oil, orange oil, Isoaliphates, beeswax, micronized wax, carnauba wax, pine oil, alumina, rosemary oil and drying agents free of lead.

 

Color Clear. Coloring is possible by adding a max. of 10% of VINDO Natural Gloss Paint No. 629.

 

Dilution Ready to use.

 

Application method By spraying, or with a wadded cloth.

 

Coverage Applied with a wadded cloth on pre-treated surfaces, 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for approximately 100 m2 (1076 ft²), i.e. 10 ml/m². 1 liter (1.06 quart) is sufficient for up to 167 m2 (1800 ft²), i.e. 6 ml/m², for other modes of application. Coverage could be considerably less, depending on the condition and absorbency of the surface. Always do a test application!

 

Cleaning Clean equipment immediately after use with SVALOS Thinner No. 222, or LEVO Brush Cleaner No. 997.

 

Drying time When using a wadded cloth, approximately 20 — 30 minutes at 23 OC and 50% relative humidity. With a spraying device, the required drying time is 30 — 120 minutes. All other application methods: 24 hours.

 

Specific gravity Approximately 0.84 g/ml.

 

Safety advice The product itself will not combust spontaneously. Contains limonene and Cobalt (2+) salts. Can cause allergic reactions.

R 53 May cause long-term adverse effects in the aquatic environment.

S 2 Keep out of the reach of children

S 62 If swallowed do not induce vomiting: seek medical advice immediately and show this container or label.

 

Disposal According to locally regulated laws.

 

Container size 0.05 l; 0.1 l; 0.25 l; 0.75 l; 2.5 l; 10 l; 30 l.

 

Storage Cool and dry. Please see label for expiry date. Transfer unused portion of product to a smaller container for storage.

 

Always be sure to store and then dispose of cleaning cloths, polishing pads, sponges, etc. that are still wet or even slightly moist with BIVOS Oil Wax No. 375 in an airtight metal container or in water, as there is a danger of spontaneous combustion caused by the plant oil content.
