For kitchen timber bench tops there are two choices:
- varnish, Bio gloss is usually used  http://www.ecoathome.com.au/Bio-Floor-Varnish-4L-Gloss-Interior-70610-317g/
- oil, Livos counter-top oil is usually used http://www.ecoathome.com.au/Kunos-Countertop-Oil-0.75lt-706243-0.75L/
 Which is preferred is usually a style and function choice... varnish is way more glossy, counter top oil can be re-coated without as much sanding...details of both products are on our website.
