Smart Powerboard with Energy Meter

Finally a smart powerboard that does it all: Energy meter, master and 4 slave outlets, and one 'always on' outlet, surge protection, overload, spike and noise filtering!. This Smart Powerboard incorporates an Energy Meter which displays how many watts of electricity are being used, or the cost in cents per hour, or the CO2 emissions in kg per hour the attached appliances are creating. The readings are both cumulative and time elapsed which means you can get a reading of teh total power consumption, total cost or total CO2 emissions. The settings and data are saved during a power failure. The Smart Powerboard also has the always essential surge protection, overload, spike and noise filtering.

The master outlet is a smart outlet which controls the 4 slave outlets. When the device which is plugged into the "smart" outlet is switched off, the smart powerboard will turn off power to the four "green" outlets, eliminating their standby power usage.

Use the Smart Powerboard is ideal for a home theatre system or a computer and peripherals system.

In the case of a home entertainment system, you might plug your TV into the master outlet, and the DVD, speakers, set-top box or TV receiver, and game consoles into the slave outlets. The 'always on' outlet can be used for a telephone. If you have a Foxtel type receiver which need reprogramming if you turn the power off, then plug that into the 'always on' outlet.

For a computer setup, you can plug the desktop into the master outlet, the screen, speakers, printer and router/modem into the slave outlets. The 'always on' can be used for the phone or fax.
