Constantly buying batteries for torches, radios and other electronics is expensive, wasteful and unsustainable. You can use rechargeable batteries, but this means being organised with spare batteries all the time. But what about emergencies?

At Eco at Home we have a number of power options available on most of our radios, LED torches and chargers:

- Solar - This option is available in pocket radios, torches and solar chargers; with a solar panel these products only need to be left in the sun for a few hours to give you many more hours use (quality sound, light and/or call time).

- Dynamo (also known as crank handle, or windup) - torches and radios with this feature can be powered by whoever's holding them. Simply spend a few minutes winding the handle to give you power anywhere, anytime!
- Squeeze - We also stock squeezy torches. How do they work? You just repeatedly press the handle to the body of the torch, like an old-fashioned hose trigger.
- DC power - You can plug in most of our radios to get an extra boost of power.

Most of our portable radios also incorporate LED flashlights in one solid, ergonomic design. Some even have USB ports for phone charging!
