Thermilate is an easy to use paint additive that makes paint insulate. This means that you achieve two jobs at once!
Using the latest Nano insulating technologies, Thermilate creates an effective barrier to prevents heat loss through your walls and ceilings. The NanoCNB structures used by Thermilate reflect heat.
If your walls are already insulated, you will still achieve a better insulation factor by adding Thermalate to your paint.
Thermilate has been independently tested across the world to UK, EU and ASTM standards, and is used throughout the world by multi-national companies, Goverment departments and individual households.
Thermilate is very easy to use and can be mixed with virtually all paints and coatings. The contents of a 440gm bag should be gradually stirred into 4 litres of paint.
It's easy, here's what professional painters and decorators do:
1. Empty the paint into a larger bucket.
2. Empty a pack of Thermilate into the same bucket.
3. Mix using a manual hand paint stirrer or use a drill based stirrer.
A minimum of two coats of paint containing Thermilate should be applied
to achieve maximum thermal efficiency. Thermalate gives a very slight
textured feel, not noticable in natural paint. However, if you want a
flatter finish, simply apply a final third coat of paint without
Thermilate mixed in to it.
When Thermilate is being mixed with
lighter colour (creams and neutral) you will not notice a difference in
the colour. However, when it is being mixed with darker colours (dark
reds and blues), it will ever so slightly lighten it a shade.
To
get over this, we recommend that you apply two coats of Thermilate and a
topcoat with no Thermilate in the paint. This will bring back you
original colour and give you a smoother and flatter finish.
Thermilate is environmentally friendly and its breathability helps with condensation problems.
